We walk alongside Anglican clergy households through various grants and services, from emergency grants for unexpected expenses, to counselling and sleep therapy.

Last year, we supported over 2,700 households, including over 1 in 5 of all serving Church of England and large numbers in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. Find out more about who we are and what we do.

Please consider lending us an hour, a day or whatever time you can spare to fundraise to support clergy and their families.

With your church

Fundraising can bring communities and congregations together.

Whether it's a bake sale, a bingo night or simply a collection during or after a service, there are many unique, exciting ways that you and your Church can support the Trust, while we support clergy and their families.

"Our church has a tradition of offering Lent lunches where individuals invite others into their homes for lunch, with any donations given to the charity of the hosts’ choice. In 2023, we chose Clergy Support Trust as one of our designated charities."

"25 people attended a midweek afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea, and we raised £183. We know from experience how much the Trust helps clergy and clergy families through tough times."

With friends or family

Whatever your age, interests or abilities, there are an infinite number of ways to fundraise, all as different as we are.

Looking to dip your toe in, or don't have much time to spare? Try a sponsored silence, quit a certain food or habit for a month, or perhaps host a coffee morning at work, virtual or in-person.

Feeling ambitious? Sponsored runs, cycles, hikes and even skydives take place at locations across the UK and Ireland and are a great way of rally support and raising funds.

  • If you choose a challenge event, like a run or a cycle, make sure you choose a date which gives you enough time to train, so you can take part safely.
  • Please take plenty of photos/videos. If you'd like to share them on social media, make sure you tag us.
  • Email us at hello@clergysupport.org.uk to tell us what you're up to. We'd love to send you some goodies in the post, or even send a representative to cheer you on.

Getting started?

While Clergy Support Trust has been around for almost 400 years, it's only in the past few years that we've seen the demand for our services grow so quickly. In fact, from 2019 - 2023, the number of grants we provide quadrupled.

That's why we've started to more actively fundraise and ask for donations, so that, as demand grows, we can continue to be there for every clergy household who needs us.

We're still getting set up on fundraising platforms like JustGiving, so bear with us.

Finished your fundraiser?

Great work! You've done something amazing, and the money you've raised will go a long way in helping to support Anglican clergy and their families across the UK and Ireland.

We'd love to send you a certificate to say thank you. If you haven't already reached out to us, please email us at hello@clergysupport.org.uk and let us know your postal address, so we can send this to you.

The next step is getting the funds you've raised to us. You can do so by:
